Nicolas is a founding partner of Clara Capital. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of Prisma Medios de Pago and Knight Therapeutics Inc in Canada (Ticker: GUD.TO). Nicolás has more than 25 years of experience in the private equity industry in Latin America. Previously, he was a Director and Country Manager in Argentina of Advent International, a leading global private equity fund. With Advent, Nicolás led or co-led investments in Nuevo Banco Comercial and Pronto in Uruguay, and in Laboratorios LKM and Fada Pharma in Argentina, among others. He also participated in the acquisition of Biotoscana Farma in Colombia, and the assembly of the regional pharmaceutical company Grupo Biotoscana, subsequently acquired by Knight Therapeutics. With Advent, he analyzed and valued transactions in various industries in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Colombia. Previously, he was an Investment Manager of HSBC Private Equity Latin America having actively participated in the origination of business opportunities in Argentina and Chile, and in the structuring, negotiation and closing of successful investments in the telecommunications and energy sectors (Emdersa, CTI Movil, Metrored Argentina), among others. Nicolás holds a degree in Business Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina.
Co-founded Clara Capital in 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in private equity. He worked for 7 years as Investment Manager in HSBC Private Equity Latin America, where he participated in the analysis, valuation, execution and monitoring of various investments such as Inmobal Nutrer, Emdersa, CTI Móvil, MetroRed Argentina and Jardín del Pilar. Later during 5 years he analyzed and participated in investment projects in diverse sectors for foreign investors, including RaboFARM Latin America (a Rabobank project). Previously, he had been Manager at Price Waterhouse where for more than 7 years he developed his experience in auditing, accounting, reporting, and in business analysis, valuation and due diligence. Claudio is a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and completed the Executive Finance Program at IAE Austral University.
He joined Clara Capital in 2013. Fernando has more than 20 years experience in private equity. Previously, he was during 8 years a Partner at CoInvest Argentina, a local investment group where he participated in multiple transactions in the energy, telecommunications and food sectors (Central Puerto, Emdersa, CTI Movil, Tres Arroyos). Previously, he served as Finance Director at TiVo (San Jose, California), a leader in personalized television services; and as an Associate at The Chase Manhattan Bank (New York) in its corporate finance department for Latin America as well as in its private equity fund. He began his professional career in the commercial department of Siderar of the Techint Organization. Fernando is an Industrial Engineer, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. in
